OEM headunit The OEM headunit has no DIN measurements and is fully integrated in the cockpit.
Mounting a DIN Headunit As the DIN-frame is not available in Western Europe I ordered it directly from Honda Japan. This frame offers the mountage of a double sized DIN Headunit.
Head unit mounting panel The frame was milled out for the Headunit to get space for the TFT panel
Head unit mounting panel Glasfibre and surfacer were used to get a smooth surface on the frame.
Display 1 montage The electronic was dismantled and the display frame milled out to fit together.
Mounting panel Surfacer was used to obtain a smooth surface.
Painting mounting panel The mounting panel was painted in the same color as the rest of the cockpit.
Mounting of Headunit To avoid any groundloops, the headunit was glued to the frame with 2 component glue.
Mounting panel The headunit frame is additional mounted with M4 screws to the car.
Design headunit The aftermarket headunit is integrated to the cockpit.
